DAV Sound was born of a shared conviction: that sound should not just accompany an image but inhabit it — extend it, reveal it. Matthieu Autin and Florent Denizot both trained in Paris and worked in its post-production studios before setting up in the French Alps. The move was deliberate. Away from the city, every sound has relief and every silence has weight — a place to work sound as a living material, shaped by instinct and precision. Digital tools sharpen the work, but the ear leads. Because a sound is never just a frequency: it's a wave that travels, a shiver that settles. Finding the right sound, at the right moment, in the right place — that's what makes a signature that holds with the image and the story it carries.
